3/29/24: Blank CodeCollab Boards, Python 2 Deprecation

Blank CodeCollab Boards New candidates and CoreEval candidates can be invited to take a “blank” CodeCollab interview containing no pre-existing work in the board. The blank boards are a boilerplate environment for any of Byteboard’s supported languages.

Python 2 Deprecation Python 2 is now deprecated and candidates must use Python 3.

1/2/24: Kotlin Support, Updated Skills Rating Scale

Kotlin Support for SWE Roles Candidates taking SWE assessments now have the option to select Kotlin. It will be automatically included for all customers with no custom language restrictions.

Updated Skills Rating Scale The rating scale now uses the word Proficient instead of Present in an effort to make our skills rating scale more clear and accurate. The intent of the rating scale is to indicate if a skill is present to the degree required for the given role profile, not whether the skill is present or not present in an objective sense.

Other Bug Fixes

We corrected a wrong method description in the Kotlin version of the web assessment. While we were there, we also added wireframe images in Part 2 for all web assessments so candidates can easily see them without going back to Part 1.
