Byteboard recommends sending all candidate CoreEval and CodeCollab invitations via Lever integration (versus sending via Invite tab in Byteboard portal) following integration.
Doing so ensures that Byteboard CoreEval interviews will be linked to candidate records in Lever and that the automated data flows will not be interrupted. Any Byteboard invitations that are intiated outside of Leverl will not be tracked in your ATS or connected to the Lever candidate record. All Next Steps, Offer Status, and other data will need to be manually updated in Bytebaord.
Inviting candidate to CoreEval via Lever
To invite a candidate to CoreEval interview:
- In Lever, identify and add the Byteboard Tag to the candidate record corresponding to the CoreEval or CodeCollab interview you would like the candidate to receive.
- If you are unsure of the tag name, Byteboard users with Admin permissions can find and identify the correct tag by going to the Lever Integration section of your Team Team Settings page and copy the related tag name.
- Note, a tag must be applied to the candidate before moving on to step 2 below; candidates will not receive a CoreEval or CodeCollab interview invitation if there is no tag added.
- Move the candidate into the Lever Stage mapped to Byteboard Stage.
- Candidate will receive email invitation to complete Byteboard CoreEval interview.
You can confirm a Note has been added to the candidate in Lever indicating that the invite has been sent. Alternatively, you can confirm directly from client.byteboard.dev/ by checking for the candidate email at https://client.byteboard.dev/candidates/coreeval

Inviting candidate to CodeCollab via Lever
To invite a candidate to CodeCollab interview:
- Move the candidate into the Lever Stage mapped to Byteboard CodeCollab.
- Interview links will be written back to Lever
- Candidate will not receive an email with interview links.
