Mapping Greenhouse stage(s) to Byteboard CodeCollab

To setup the CodeCollab integration, you will first need to add an interview stage in Greenhouse that corresponds to CodeCollab (see here for details on how to create stages in Greenhouse). We recommend naming the stage: Byteboard CodeCollab

Following creation of the CodeCollab stage in Greenhouse:

  1. Visit Greenhouse Integration at https://client.byteboard.dev/settings/team
  1. Navigate to section titled 3. MAP JOB STAGES TO NEXT STEPS CATEGORIES AND LIVE CODING STEPS
  1. Byteboard will load your Greenhouse stages, select the drop-down option for Edit stage names to expand stage names.
  1. Select the Byteboard CodeCollab checkbox to the right of any Greenhouse Stage for which you would like to send a CodeCollab interview.

    1. Notion image
  1. Check the Candidate record to ensure the following is attached to the candidate:
    1. Personal email address
    2. Individual listed in Recruiter on the candidate
  1. Select Move Stage and select Byteboard CodeCollab (stage you mapped to CodeCollab)
    1. Moving the candidate to the Byteboard CodeCollab stage will automatically create a CodeCollab interview for the candidate. This move WILL NOT send the candidate an invitation to the interview.

  1. Refresh the candidate page after the candidate has been moved to the Byteboard CodeCollab interview stage.
  1. Once the page has been refreshed, click into the activity feed, to view the expanded note which will include the following:
      • CodeCollab Interviewer Link
      • CodeCollab Interviewee Link

  1. The interview links can be copied and shared in interview invitations per your existing scheduling process.
      • For example, if you have a Google Calendar integration enabled in Greenhouse, the links can be copied directly into the calendar invitation.

A few notes on the integration and Multiple CodeCollab interviews:

      • Number of interviews: Rather than create a single CodeCollab interview per interview stage mapped to CodeCollab, Byteboard will create a number of CodeCollab interviews to match the number of interviews within the stage that you have mapped to CodeCollab.
      • Naming conventions: CodeCollab interviews will automatically be named according to the naming of the interviews in your stage. For example: ◦ If you have two interviews in the stage named "Systems design architecture" and "Technical deep-dive" we would create two CodeCollab interviews and name them as follows:  ▪ Systems design architecture (CodeCollab) ▪ Technical deep-dive (CodeCollab)
