Before you begin
Only Interviewers who join a CodeCollab live technical interview are able to end an interview session.
CodeCollab is a collaborative live coding environment that allows teams to host live coding interviews within Byteboard’s all-in-one hiring platform. Using a familiar IDE based on Visual Studio Code, CodeCollab allows hiring teams to pair code and collaborate on multi-file codebases, understand candidate communication, and adapt follow-up questions on the fly or by leveraging Byteboard’s custom interview guide.
Ending a CodeCollab interview
Once an interview has concluded, to end a CodeCollab interview:
- Select END & SUBMIT CODE - This will prompt the candidate’s code to automatically be compiled and uploaded into the Byteboard platform. Note, the candidate will no longer be able to make changes to the code.

- Once the CodeCollab interviews has been ended, you’ll be prompted to submit INTERVIEWER NOTES and an OVERALL RECOMMENDATION (optional).

- Any code uploaded or input into CodeCollab will be available in the Code section of the interview.
